There is no app store download. Spec Sheet Builder is a website you can install to your home screen, which is why it updates the moment we ship and never asks you to wait for a review.

Install it

On iPhone, open the app in Safari, tap the Share button, and choose Add to Home Screen. On Android, open it in Chrome and choose Install app or Add to Home screen from the browser menu.

Once installed it opens full screen without browser chrome, which gives you back the address bar's worth of vertical space. That matters on a phone held one handed in a framed house.

What happens when the signal drops

Job sites have bad signal. The editor is built for that.

Saves are queued rather than fired and forgotten. When you change a row, the change goes into a queue with a quiet saving indicator, and if the connection is not there it retries when you come back into coverage. A dropped bar does not lose a row.

Pages you have already opened stay readable while you are offline, so you can keep referring to a section you loaded before you walked into the basement.

What still needs a connection

Anything that has to reach a server needs signal at the moment you do it: creating a new project, importing a product from a link, an AI assist call, generating a PDF, or sending anything to a client or a trade.

Deletes are also blocked while you are offline. A queued delete that fires later against data you have since changed is worse than a delete you have to repeat, so the app waits for you to be back online rather than guessing.

Check the indicator

The save indicator tells you the truth: saving, saved, or waiting to reconnect. If it says waiting, your work is held locally and will go up. Do not close the tab until it says saved.
