Every drawing set carries its real requirements in writing: general notes on the cover, structural notes beside the framing plan, a window schedule, a finish legend. That text is where the arguments come from six months later. This page covers the notes a project has already read: finding them again, asking the chat about them, and checking your sheet against them.
Reading notes is off for now
Reading a sheet's notes into the project is off for now, on every plan. The Notes page no longer offers a read or an estimate. Notes a project read before stay where they are, and Export PDF is still there.
Each block records where it was printed. Choose On sheet 3 on any block and the page opens with that block framed on the drawing.
Finding a note again
The search box at the top of the Notes page looks through every block on the project. Type
waterproofing or attic ventilation and you get the sentence, the sheet it is on, and a jump
straight to it.
Search works on every project. If your workspace has semantic search enabled, closely related wording is matched too, so "damp proofing" can find a note that says "waterproofing". Without it the search still matches the words you typed.
Asking the chat
Turn on the Plans switch in the chat header and ask what the plan says. The answer is drawn from the notes on your own drawings, and every claim that leans on a note carries a chip naming the sheet it came from. Choose the chip and the Notes page opens at that block, where On sheet 3 takes you the rest of the way to the drawing with the block framed.
Two things worth knowing. The chat is shown only the passages that bear on your question, not the whole corpus, so it will tell you when the notes do not cover something rather than filling the gap from general knowledge. And a printed note is not a measured quantity: a note that says a wall is insulated to R-21 is a requirement, not a number for your takeoff.
Checking a sheet against the plan
Check against plan notes reads a section of your spec sheet against the notes and reports two things: what the plan asks for that no line covers, and where a line disagrees with a note. Every flag quotes the note and names its sheet, so you can go and look.
Nothing here changes your sheet. A flag is a question, not an edit. You can dismiss one, mark it addressed, or choose Draft these lines, which puts the suggestions into the chat as a draft for you to review. As everywhere else, lines reach your sheet only when you choose Apply.
The check never sees your prices. It is shown the line names, units and notes for a section and nothing else, so it cannot reason about what anything costs and cannot change a number.
What it does not do
Notes are what the sheet prints. They are not edited by hand, so what you have always matches what is on the drawing.
