There are three paid plans: Starter, Pro, and Studio. You can pay monthly or annually (10% off). Current prices and the exact numbers are on the pricing page, which is the one place they live so they cannot go stale here.
New paid plans start with a 7-day trial. A card is required. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged. If you do nothing, the trial continues to day 7, your card is charged for the plan you picked, and the full plan allowance begins. A trial is offered once per Stripe customer.
What the ladder actually changes
Three things move as you go up.
How much you can keep. Projects, saved templates, and saved products all have ceilings that rise by plan.
How much automated work you get. One shared monthly AI allowance covers the AI features your plan includes. A trial uses a flat 500,000-token taste (about 60 AI actions), the same on every paid plan. When the trial converts to a paid month, that counter starts at zero and the full plan allowance begins.
Which surfaces unlock. The client facing and trade facing features are the real dividing line. Tiered proposals, change orders, order sheets, trade packages, the home manual, and sending a PDF to a client all start at Pro. Selection boards are on the free sandbox as well as Pro. Starter exports carry a watermark; Pro and Studio do not.

Changing plan
Billing is its own page in the sidebar. Starting or reactivating a paid plan through checkout takes effect after Stripe confirms the subscription.
The Stripe billing portal is the place to change a payment method and download invoices. Cancel in the app, from Billing. Self-service switching between Starter, Pro, and Studio is not guaranteed. If the portal does not show the paid tier you need, contact support rather than assuming a plan change has been scheduled.
When you hit a limit
The app tells you which limit you hit and what it would take to get past it, rather than failing quietly. That prompt is the same information as the pricing page, in context.
What never requires your client to subscribe
The help centre. Reading a spec sheet somebody shared with you, acknowledging a trade package, scanning a delivery check-in, and opening a home manual are all free to the person doing them, always, on every plan. Those are your clients and your subs, and charging them to look at your document would be absurd.
Invoices and payment
Payment and invoices are handled by Stripe. The billing page links to the portal where you can change a card and download invoices.
Cancelling
Cancel from Billing. You keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for, then the account becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted, and your exports remain available.
If you are still on a trial, cancelling from Billing ends the trial and your card is not charged.
