A paid plan starts with a 7-day trial. The trial includes about 60 AI actions, the same number on Starter, Pro, and Studio. That is a taste of the product, not a week of the paid allowance. The plan gate tells you this before you enter a card.

What still works

AI pauses when those actions are used. Everything else keeps working for the rest of the seven days: projects, the spec editor, PDFs, boards, rooms, takeoff, and exports. Hitting the AI cap does not turn a 7-day trial into a 1-day trial.

If you do nothing

That is the default. The trial continues to day 7. Everything except AI keeps working. On day 7 your card is charged for the plan you picked, and the full plan allowance begins. Cancel from Billing before then and you are not charged.

Starting the plan now

If you want the full monthly allowance immediately, the dialog offers to start the plan you already picked. That is a trade, not a favour: the remaining trial days are forfeited, and your card is charged today for that plan's price (monthly or annual, whichever you chose).

The amount is on the confirm button, and the next billing date is listed before you can confirm. There is no tier change in that dialog. You can cancel later from Billing in the app.
