Retyping a product off a supplier's website is the slowest thing in this app, and it is the thing smart import removes.
The free sandbox includes ten AI-assisted Smart Imports for the life of the account. A skip that needed no AI does not count. The eleventh import asks you to upgrade. Paid plans draw from the shared monthly AI allowance instead.
Paste one link
Products, then Add, then paste the URL. The page is read, the fields are filled, and you get a preview to check before anything is saved.
When a record returns, you typically get name, manufacturer, model or SKU, finish or color, and the product image. Size, supplier, unit of measure, and price come through when the page states them in a form the import can read. Confirm the model number and the finish before saving. Those two are what a supplier orders against.
Paste up to ten
Put one link per line. You get one preview row per product, each independently editable and each with its own suggested folder. Save them all in one action.

When a page fights back
Some retailers block pasted imports. Home Depot and Lowe's are the two a builder reaches for first, and a pasted link does not fill the fields there today. The in-app dialog "Retailers that block imports" names this at the point of paste.
The clipper is the path on those pages: it sends the product page your own browser already loaded, so it reads cleanly on sites a pasted link cannot reach. You can also add the product by hand.
Where a pasted record does return, the details match the product page. Getting an image is the bar when the page supplies one. It is the field you cannot reconstruct from memory, and it is what makes a selection board and a tear sheet look like something a designer made.
Always check the preview
The preview exists because automated reading is very good and not perfect. Confirm the model number and the finish before saving.
Usage limits
Smart import draws from the shared monthly AI allowance on your plan. Each import is an AI action, with larger or more complex pages using more of the allowance than small ones. See your AI allowance in Settings for current usage and an estimate of the actions left.
A busy hour of pasting is fine. If you hit this hour's pace, the row (or the clipper) names the limit and when the next import opens. That is a pace cap, not the monthly allowance.
If you are browsing rather than pasting, the browser clipper is cheaper and usually more reliable, because it reads the page your own browser already rendered.
